After hearing so much about this fish and chips place, I finally decided to give it a go, and boy, am I glad I did! I opted for the haddock this time, and it was simply divine. Not only was it cooked to perfection, but the selection of sauces offered was impressive. I tried the curry sauce, which was a lovely complement to the fish. The chips were delightful, crispy on the outside while fluffy on the inside. I also loved that they had a variety of options, including a vegetarian option, which I plan to try next. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps expanding the seating a tad, as it can get quite crowded during lunch hours. However, the bustling atmosphere adds to the charm, so it’s not a major issue. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the batter was light and crispy, just as it should be. The chips were equally fantastic—golden and fluffy, a perfect accompaniment. I also enjoyed a side of mushy peas, which were well-seasoned and made for a lovely change. One thing that stood out to me was the staff; they were friendly and knowledgeable, offering recommendations and making me feel valued as a customer. My only tiny critique would be the lack of outdoor seating, as I would have loved to enjoy my meal in the fresh air.
